Summit Haus — a Loma renovation in the Berkeley Hills, California

What Loma does

Homes reimagined.

Loma finds the houses no one else wants. The ones with tired skin and good bones. Then Loma brings them back, room by room, beam by beam, into homes built to last another generation.

A small design-and-build practice working across the East Bay, Miami, and the Florida Keys. Renovation, long-term rentals, and vacation rentals — all held to the same standard.

In practice

Three lines of work. One standard.

01 — Renovation

Single & multi-family.

Houses with history deserve a second (and third, and fourth) chance at being a home. Loma merges what is already there with what comes next.

02 — Long-term rentals

Held, not flipped.

A portion of completed homes stay in the Loma portfolio as long-term rentals. Built for the people who will live in them, not the spreadsheet.

03 — Vacation rentals

Stays with character.

Select properties operate as short-term stays in Miami and the Florida Keys. Designed for guests who notice the difference.

The four principles

How Loma works.

Every Loma home follows the same sequence. Read the bones. Draw the flow. Compose the whole. Let it age into itself.

Bones — Loma principle 01

Bones

Read what is already there. Every house has structure, history, and intent.

Flow — Loma principle 02

Flow

Draw how a life moves through space. The route from door to coffee to quiet.

Terrazzo — Loma principle 03

Terrazzo

Compose the whole from fragments. Old beams, new stone, found tile. The mix is the meaning.

Patina — Loma principle 04

Patina

Let it age into itself. A Loma home should look better in ten years than the day it was finished.

Selected work

Seven homes. Two coasts.

A growing body of work across the East Bay, Anderson Valley, and the Florida Keys. Each home a record of who lived there and who arrives next.

Build something that lasts.
